Brace will share her heritage, her experience with domestic violence and her success as a musician. She will also share some of her original music with guests.
The menu for this lunch will consist of: oven roasted turkey breast with blueberry and Wisconsin cranberry relish, Wisconsin wild rice casserole, fry bread and maple candy. The cost of the Diversity Lunch is $3. Tickets will be available starting Monday, Nov. 7; please contact Ann at wicka@uww.edu or (262) 472-4943 to get your tickets. Space will be limited.
Brace is a Native American from the Lac Courte Oreilles band of the Ojibwe Tribe, and was born in Milwaukee. She currently resides in Grafton, Wisconsin.

Most recently, Brace and her band, October Soul, won top honors from the Native American Music Awards (NAMMYS) for best new group. She is the proud recipient of the Shepherd Express 2007 Best Female Vocalist Award, and was honored to have been nominated for the 2010 WAMI Best Female Vocalist.
